We stock insulation with R-values of 11, 13, 19, 21, 30 and 38 BATT INSULATION - We stock batt insulation in precut lengths. Similar to roll insulation, it is best for use where there are many cross beams or other obstructions. Batts installed in walls should not be copressed to fit. Also, do not stuff behind wires. Cut to fit around them. For more information regarding this product, check out Knaufusa.com. ROLL INSULATION - Comes in continuous rolls that vary in R-value, width and thickness. You usually use this between open ceilings joists and wall studs. If the insulation has a vapor barrier (or "paper"), you should install the paper toward the interior or heated area. Remember to check if you your studs are 16" or 24" on center before calling and ordering. FOAM SEALANT- This products comes in an aerosol can. It is used to fill holes and gaps caused by plumbing, electrical outlets, and vents. It can be trimmed, sanded and painted after curing. Do not overfill your area. The product is designed to expand. For contractors and do-it-yourselfers we stock DAP Multi-purpose foam sealant (dap.com) and Dow Great Stuff for gaps & craks, big gap filler, and window and door (dowgreatstuff.com). PIPE INSULATION - Used to keep water pipes from freezing in the winter. They can also be used to control heat loss when pipes carry hot water and controls condensation and dripping. We stock both perforated insulating tubes that fit over the pipe, and rolls that can be wrapped around the pipe. RIGID INSULATION - Rigid insulation is used for insulation under siding, and around foundations. We have a wide vareity of thicknesses, in both 2x8 and 4x8, with special orders also available.
